The Ferrari 296 Challenge is the very first car in the single-make series to sport a V6 engine with the hybrid powertrain removed to reduce weight while the power output was increased to 700cv, resulting in a record specific power output for the segment – 234cv/l.
This race car, which, from the outside looks very similar to the Ferrari 296 GT3, shares many similarity with her bigger sister. All the aerodynamics bodyworks are in fact very close, this allowing the Challenge to create up to 870kg of downforce at over 250km/h, which is 18% more than the 488 Challenge Evo.
